How to export a branch from your Geneanet family tree?

Click “Family Tree” and “Import/Export a GEDCOM File” in the top menu bar.

Click “Export” and “Export a Branch” in the left sidebar, fill in the form:

– Enter the name of the root person;

– Select the number of generations to be exported (ancestors, descendants, collateral relatives);

– Select if you want to keep the sources as they actually are in the family tree or if you want to replace them by a unique source;

– Select the character encoding (ASCII or UTF-8).

Note: The Geneweb file format (.gw) is for Geneweb users (http://geneweb.org/) or if you want to import the file to another Geneanet account.

Then click “Download”.
