Geneanet has a fabulous collection of over 830,000 postcards to illustrate your tree: villages, churches, landscapes, monuments, street scenes… This month, we went through our collection and created a brand new Easter category for you — choose from over 2600 vintage cards to send to your family & friends!

Want to send a vintage Easter card? A century-old vintage postcard will amuse and delight your family, friends and fellow genealogists! Our extensive database of over 830,000 postcards has a new feature: a category for Easter. Now, you can easily browse the cards available. These vintage postcards, some humorous, many touching, full of Easter eggs and rabbits, children, flowers, and animals — and of course, religious illustrations — will bring a smile to everyone you send them to. Some cards show churches decorated for Easter; others show historical processions and parades in villages and towns. Most are in English, but there are French and German ones as well — don’t be surprised to see a card saying “Joyeuse Pâques” or “Fröhliche Ostern”!

To access these cards, click on the menu item “Postcards” in the “Resources” menu. Next, click on the “More criteria” link under the search bar and in the More criteria section, select “Easter” in the dropdown list. You will find more than 2600 cards from the previous century, more than enough to bring a touch of originality to your holiday messages!

Select the Easter category on the Postcards advanced search page, then hit the red Search button. When you find a card you like, right-click on it to save to your computer. You can then send it by e-mail or PM, upload it to social media, or even print it out.

Here are a few vintage Easter cards we would like to share with you:

Gothic angel action!
We don’t know the illustrator’s name, but we like this one.
Rabbits coloring Easter eggs!
Loud bells, flowers, and a gargoyle – mademoiselle will surely be interested!
We love this one!

Is that a fun-loving flapper, or a mother of dragons? Perhaps both!
This fraulein has a full basket of eggs already!
Lads, get out your sailor suits and fetch those wheelbarrows!
Easter Monday procession in Maubeuge, in the Nord département (county) of France
St Cecilia’s Church in Boston decorated for Easter
Easter is above all a religious holiday.
