Posted by Sean Daly on Feb 13, 2024

Geneanet has a fabulous collection of over 800,000 postcards to illustrate your tree: villages, churches, landscapes, monuments, street scenes… This month, we combed through our collection and created a brand new Valentine’s Day category for you — choose from 800 vintage cards to send to your Beloved!

Looking for an unusual Valentine’s Day card? Express your sentiments with a century-old vintage postcard! Our fabulous database of over 800,000 postcards has a new feature: a category for Valentine’s Day so you can easily browse the cards available. Most are in English, but there are French ones as well — don’t be surprised to see a card about “St. Valentin”! A few are in other languages.

To peruse our Valentine’s Day cards, go to the Resources menu and select Postcards. On that page, just under the full text search field, click on More criteria. On the following screen, under More criteria, select the category Valentine’s Day. Hit the red Search button and enjoy looking for cards!

Select the category Valentine’s Day and hit the red Search button! When you find a card you like, right-click on it to save to your computer. You can then send it by e-mail or PM.

Here are a few amusing vintage Valentine’s Day cards we would like to share with you:
