Because cemeteries are one of the most important resources for genealogists, Geneanet has launched the project “Save our Graves” to capture graves before they are lost.
More than 5 million graves are already available!
Here are the cemeteries added in April 2023:
Australia
- St Patrick Marulan Catholic Cemetery, Marulan South, New South Wales, 37 graves (just3thoughts)
- Wilton Anglican Church Cemetery, Wilton, New South Wales, 66 graves (just3thoughts)
- Appin Anglican Church Cemetery, Appin, New South Wales, 79 graves (just3thoughts)
- Appin Catholic Church Cemetery, Appin, New South Wales, 112 graves (just3thoughts)
Canada
England
- Hollybrook Cemetery, Southampton, England, 53 graves (donquijote10)
United States
- Calvary Cemetery, Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois, 10 graves (cigaleettom)
- Hillsborough Town Cemetery, Hillsborough, North Carolina, 362 graves (kjwhite)
- Providence Church Cemetery, Graham, North Carolina, 576 graves (kjwhite)
- Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington CDP, Virginia, 13 graves (horstdieter1)
You can also participate in the preservation of cultural heritage with Geneanet by taking photos of graves. It’s easy with the GeneaGraves mobile app!

Save our Graves app can’t be downloaded from Google play for Samsung A71. It says it’s too new! I’d like to photograph some Graves in uk
Thanks Rosie
Answer from Geneanet: We are aware of this issue and are working to upgrade our app for the latest version of Android. Unfortunately, the patch will likely not be available before our Save our Graves weekend. It is possible to upload photos from your phone to your computer, and from there to Geneanet. We apologize for the inconvenience.
