You can view the list of possible duplicates in your family tree and easily merge them if needed.
Pass your mouse over the search form at the top right of the screen, click “Advanced Search”, then click the tab “LIST” and finally click “List of possible duplicates”.
You can easily select some persons and merge them if needed.
Note:
– This is a list of possible duplicates and you must verify that it’s not different persons with the same name.
– The merge cannot be undone so be sure that it’s duplicate persons before doing it.
– Listed are the persons with same last name and same first names in the same order so you may have some other duplicate persons in your family tree.

I downloaded my tree months ago but I can’t find it. There is no option to view it under the Family Tree heading. I am signed in.
Answer from Geneanet: You don’t have a family tree on Geneanet. You can go to https://my.geneanet.org/arbre/ to import a GEDCOM file.

The screenshot shows that you must be on your family tree pages. Go to the Geneanet home page (https://en.geneanet.org) then click the red button “View Family Tree” then follow instructions given in the blog post. It’s not reserved for Premium members.

Agreed. It does NOT work!

Glenys – You have to be in your tree to see the name search bar. It isn’t on this page or non-tree pages.
4/25/22
I am with Glenys – where is the search form?
4/25/22
same as Glenys Bolland
4/24/22
I agree with Norman Halter and Glenys Bolland…..Please answer our question…..”Check on possible duplicates?”
4/24/22
Unable to see ‘search’ button also. Help please.
4/24/22
I agree with the above comments – nothing makes sense.
4/24/22
My screen does not present a search option at the top right of the screen. How do I access it?
4/24/22
“Pass your mouse over the search form at the top right of the screen, click “Advanced Search”, then click the tab “LIST” and finally click “List of possible duplicates”.
I could not find these directions on the page under “Geneanet: List of Possible Duplicates, You can view the list of possible duplicates in your family tree and easily merge them if needed.”

I have Premium and I don’t have the advanced search option either!
4/23/22
Ditto Norman HALTER and Glenys BOLLAND
4/23/22
It does work. First, click on “Family Tree” within the menu bar at the top of the Geneanet page. Then, click on “Your Family Tree”. In order to see your family tree, first you will have to add a GEDCOM file of your tree. Then, follow Geneanet’s instructions.

ADVANCED SEARCH – – GO TO YOUR FAMILY TREE PAGE FIRST.
4/23/22
ADVANCED SSEARCH
4/23/22
Same here, no advanced search. It says possible duplicates so maybe its a message for everyone to check, not just for one person as it sounds like it is in the email sent. Sounds like we all got the same email. Most annoying.
4/23/22
I don’t either
4/22/22
I think there is something wrong with your message about how to check for possible duplicates. I don’t have a search form at the top right of my screen, so cannot proceed to click “advanced search: etc. Using the “search” button at the top left of my screen does not take me to the “advanced search” option. Perhaps this is for Premium members only. If so, perhaps you should state that.
4/22/22
Sorry I can’t make it work
4/22/22
Top right of the screen realy
4/22/22
How do I find Advance Search?
4/22/22
I see how to do it…
Go to top where it says Family Tree, in drop down menu, click Family Tree….then on the page after, you’ll see search for first/last name….hover over search and drop down will show and you can see Advanced Search
Click that, and you’ll see List and the duplicate area, hit submit…
Hope this helps…

I believe this option only work for paid accounts.
4/22/22
I agree with the others. I don’t even find that search box at all
4/22/22
Why am I receiving this? If it doesn’t apply to me then your sending me junk email. Why?
4/22/22
I don’t have a search form at the right!
4/22/22
I have a premium membership but do not see an advanced search button either.
4/22/22
I followed directions; it does NOT work!
4/22/22
This doesn’t work for me at all. Ever since I signed up, I can’t do anything to find family.
4/22/22
Same problem here as glenysb has.
4/22/22
I agree with Glenys Bolland. What is the resolution to this issue?
4/22/22
Dear Jean-Yves, you might be referring to a different START window. In my case I don’t have a . Thank you.
4/22/22
This makes no sense at all. Nothing works.

Is “Advanced Search” only available to Premium members? Those words do not show on my iPad screen.
Answer from Geneanet: It’s not reserved for Premium members. Please post your question in our forum

It would have been nice to receive a notice that this was only for paying users on the email telling me I could perform this search.

First paragraph has a typo. It reads “Pass you mouse”. Please fix.
Answer from Geneanet: Thanks for your eagle eye, we have found the missing “r”!

Thanks. I am aware of the duplicates and am in the process of fixing these items on my main tree. At some point I will re-upload to this site. Just have a lot going on. If this is creating any problems then I can remove my tree until I complete the corrections.
