Lechelle was captured for the second time early in September, 1918, and the cemetery was made by the 53rd Field Ambulance and the 18th Casualty Clearing Station, which were posted near the site.

It was used until the following month. In 1934 the grave of an unidentified British solier was concentrated into this cemetery from Lieramont Communal Cemetery. There are now over 100, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. (Source: Commonwealth War Graves Commission)
