When you upload your DNA data to Geneanet, you can link it to an individual in your family tree. See below how to do if you did not link it during the upload.
Why linking your DNA data to your family tree?
When linking your DNA data to your Geneanet family tree, you get access to more features:
• Some relationships can be found between your family tree and the family tree of your DNA relatives. This will let you know the family and place names you share with these members so you can easily find your common ancestors.
• If you are a Premium member, you can get access to the automatic matches and immediately find these common ancestors.
If you did not link your DNA data to your Geneanet family tree during the upload, you can now do it anyway. Please follow the instructions below.
Link your DNA data to an individual in your family tree
Go to the page “Manage DNA data” then click “Edit information”.
Then click “Link to a person in your family tree” and select the individual.
Link your DNA data to another individual in your family tree
If you want to change the link, click “Edit information” then “Link to another person”.
Click “Select another individual?” to link your DNA data to another individual in your Geneanet family tree.
If you don’t have a Geneanet family tree
If you don’t have a Geneanet family tree, you can create it from scratch or upload a GEDCOM file, and you will get access to all Geneanet DNA options!

Thanks – I manage my father’s kit. I click on Edit Information for his DNA. I then click “Link to a person in your family tree”. When I search for any name, I always receive “No individual found”. Any ideas?
Thank you.

I have my DNA in Ancestry, can it be share with Geneanet?

To link to an ancestor do I have to choose the ancestor or should uploading my DNA automatically provide me with possible matches.

When all my DNA matches are 6th+ cousins, they can’t be linked to anybody on my tree. Other sites can do better. Will this improve on yours?
