Europe’s Oldest Time Capsule – Dating Back To 1797 – Is Discovered Hidden in a Polish Church Spire

The oldest time capsule in Europe, and the second oldest in the world, has been found hidden inside a church spire.

The capsule dating back to 1797 was found by workers during renovation work on the 18th century church in the small town of Ziebice in Poland. Opening it up, town officials found 200-year-old old coins and documents dated 1797 written in German.
