Some New Geneanet Features

Posted by Jean-Yves on Jan 6, 2020

Some new free Geneanet features have been released!

These new features are about notifications, list of individuals in your family tree, and advanced search in your family tree.

Hide notifications

You can now manually hide some of the notifications you have received by clicking the cross next to them.

If you hide notifications about email alerts, you can still view them at en.geneanet.org/alert.

Display list of all individuals in your family tree

You can now display an alphabetical list of all individuals in your family tree.

Pass you mouse over the family tree search engine then click “List of all individuals in the family tree”.

You can click a letter to directly go to the list of individuals which name begins with it.

You can click “Change the display mode of the particles” to personalize the display of names with particles. If the particle is displayed before the name or after the name (and in parenthesis), the name will not be at the same place in the alphabetical list.

Sort advanced search results in your family tree

You can now sort the results of the advanced search in your family tree.

Pass you mouse over the family tree search engine then click “Advanced Search”.

You can sort the results by alphabetical order of names, by chronological order of events, and by date of entry of individuals in your family tree.
