Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood Left Out of Who Do You Think You Are? Because his Family History Is Too Complex

The rocker, 71, was to be one of the BBC1 ancestry show’s biggest stars, with a huge family tree made up of gypsies on canal barges.

But a TV insider said: “With Ronnie’s colourful relatives – who can be traced back over 300 years – there was too much to be able to work through in time for this year’s series.

“They’re still determined to see if they can bring together what they need to make a show all about the Wood clan. But if it happens it will have to be next year now.”

This is such a shame for the Canal people as are the Gypsies or rather Hindi’s as they were known in Ancient Egypt, were more than ‘colourful’. Their lives were dramatic, always on the move, always facing new hurdles. During the War they kept vital supplies moving and getting to towns where desperately needed as told in ‘The Maidens’ Trip’ by Emma Smith, and “The Water Gypsies” by Herbet. Even if this best episode ever makes it to the small screen by next year, I could be in my next incarnation before it shows down under.

Looking forward to itI can trace my great grandmother’s family back to the1640’s and am working on other family lines as well.
