Chinese Records in Portugal Archives Tell Story of Macao

Around 100 documents on the official correspondence between the Qing Dynasty officials governing Macao and the Office of the Procurator of the Loyal Senate of Macao, or the then Portuguese authorities in Macao, are going on display.

They are part of more than 3,600 documents, which are known as “Official Records of Macao During the Qing Dynasty (1693-1886)” and were inscribed in the Memory of the World Register in 2017, according to a co-sponsor of the exhibition.
