A New Geneanet Interface for Uploading Your Pictures of Cemeteries

Posted by Jean-Yves on Jul 9, 2018

A new Geneanet interface has been launched for uploading your pictures of cemeteries.

You can now add new cemeteries when they are not listed in our database, and you can now upload as many pictures of graves as you want for a cemetery.

Click “Projects > Cemeteries” in the main menu.

Click the button “Learn more”.

Click the button “Upload your pictures”.

Enter the place name (city/town) and the county/state/country, select the cemetery in the dropdown list or click “The cemetery is not listed?” to add a new one, select the images files to be uploaded, then click the button “Save”.

If the cemetery is not listed, you can enter a postal address or some GPS coordinates to add a new one.

Good to know

– Images must must have sufficient resolution for being readable and indexed.
– Each image must be in jpg file format and up to 14MB.
– We suggest that you don’t rename or crop your image files.
– At least one name must be visible on the picture : photograph all sides of the grave if needed, and take a general picture.

I need to use it

I don’t have WiFi or data available when in cemeteries in other countries. That makes it more difficult.
