One of the World’s Rarest Maps on Display at the National Library of Australia

Archipelagus Orientalis, one of the world’s rarest maps, and the map used as a template for all maps of Australia prior to Cook in 1770, has been restored and is on display at the National Library of Australia.

NLA manager of preservations Denyl Cloughley, Senior Paper Conservator Libby Melzer, Curator of Maps, Dr Martin Woods and Director-General, Dr Marie-Louise Ayres.
