How can I upload my family tree that is created in Family Tree Heritage Gold 16 (file suffix is .aq)

I'm not familiar with that software but I gather it can export a GEDCOM file, which is the format you need to upload to Geneanet (or any other genealogy site).

I clicked on "export file" got a popup. Do I select "other" Export Type: Export for import into?

Please try all the export options until you find the GEDCOM export. All genealogy softwares have this option.
