MASCULINE / FEMININE SEARCHES ONLY

I would love to be able to search only MALES or FEMALES in my family lineage. I only see a mix of both during a certain time period. If this option could be made available, it would be very much appreciated.

Pass you mouse over the search form by name at the top right of your family tree pages, then click "Advanced search". There, you can search your family tree by gender.

That suggestion seems to only work for searching within one's own tree.

I too would like to be able to search by gender in the SEARCH > SEARCH THE DATABASE option.

It's not possible to search by gender in the database.
