Any thoughts on best services for Italian, French and German ancestors? I've had great success in the USA finding relatives but would love to focus more specifically on those three countries. Many thanks for any ideas.

I moved your question to the Italy forum since it has no relation to genetic genealogy.

"Best" is very subjective. Are you looking for more records, more indexation, more trees, better value?

For French ancestry, Geneanet is probably your best choice. MyHeritage has an extensive collection of German records, but its user interface is lacking. I understand Ancestry is also good for Germany but its cost is a barrier for me. I haven't done much research in Italy. FamilySearch has a large collection of Italian documents so that's where I would start. Hopefully other members will give you additional recommendations.
