yDNA and LANCELEVEE

Post 29 December 2019, 13:24

I am looking to collaborate with any male Lancelevee in Normandy to carry out yDNA testing with me.
The name originates in Calvados 11th century
At the invasion some Lancelevee families were given land in Hampshire ( and Dorset) and I have a document trail from them to
my own Hampshire Lansley family.
I have a confirmed haplogroup M253 and a terminal SNP of Y61566 and so far I match for that SNP with a Norwegian man of longstanding Norwegian heritage. This looks right for a England-Norman-Norwegian Viking pathway.
I am puzzled by one Lancelevee test I arranged so far with an individual in Normandy and there result came back as
Haplogroup R-M269, also known as R1b1a1a2.
It is hard to reconcile the different haplogroups and so I am seeking further test information
( If preferred please use private message e.g. through Facebook or my e-mail d-a-lansley@doctors.org.uk)
