We suggest that you import your family tree to Geneanet via a GEDCOM file, then automatically compare it to the Geneanet database at https://en.geneanet.org/compare/

You can remove your family tree at any time at https://my.geneanet.org/arbre/delete.php

As a new member as of today I, like the previous post, have put in very well known family last names and NOTHING comes up! How is this possible? And why can’t we put in just a family name and then be enabled to look at the family tree existing already to the public to better find information on the person of interest in detail? If you cannot find anything on two known family names I put in then please remove me as a member of one hour and reimburse my payment made in good faith. If you don’t let us look at whole families without the perhaps unknown details of one member we are trying to find, then your site should let us know your limitations in advance of payment.
Thank you for any proper feed back or help in case I could not find the right way to use your site.

Hi Nancy, hi Maria,

Can you tell us which name you have been searching without results?
Or maybe what steps you have taken to do a search?
As a premium member you can use all the tools available on the Search page so it would be strange if you get no result at all.
Even no results that are not connected to you family.

Please reimburse me for a year’s worth of useless premium membership discovered in the first hour of research attempts. It’s obvious to me only now that you cannot do what I need to do with my German aristocratic family names that have existing records for centuries. I do not own large family trees because they are publicly available.

You're right, Not much coming up Nancy. I tried also on Familysearch, not much either.
For the second name it would be difficult anyway. In Europe almost everything starting from 1920 is private, so not online.
You have to understand that Geneanet is a group of family tree owners who share their trees for free. The premium membership gives you some extras, always a backup avaliable if sonething goes wrong and also archives from partners of Geneanet that can be looked up.

Your Premium subscription will not be automatically renewed.
Your Premium subscription will expire on January 31, 2021, and you will have nothing to pay after this date.
Just ignore the reminders you will receive.

If you can’t reimburse me then please tell me how I can get another family member to use this site instead of me for the next year rather than waste $50? Thanks for any help here.

@vonbibra: If your family member has a Geneanet account, you can ask us for the transfer of your Premium subscription.
