Make the whole tree private

Hi all,
I've stored my tree in Geneanet for years and I consider it to be the best system to keep your information online.

I have seen, however, some people taking advantage of my research and posting it elsewhere with no reference. Sometimes people will copy lines which are wrong or a work in progress and unconfirmed, and then it's near-impossible to retrace the error and amend it.

I would like to make my tree entirely private except for those I trust and would invite to view or edit my tree. I'm currently using the free version, which doesn't have this option. Does the premium version have it?

Yes, the Premium version has it. Go to https://my.geneanet.org/arbre/options/parametres.php?view=acces and click "Set Family Tree to Private".

I haven't downloaded my tree from Ancestry yet as I can't see where I can make the whole tree private either. I have read that you can upgrade to make it private, but I don't wish to pay a subscription just for this service. Can I make my tree private without an upgrade please? Ta

No, it is a Premium service. All you can do is make your living individuals private.
