Graves and Memorials

Post 21 November 2019, 02:14

I have a number of Grave Stone Pictures related to people in my family tree. It seems that there was a way in the past to attach those pictures to that persons profile under a note or some other Archival section on the profile page. I can not find any tips on how to do this. Please help me with this as I would like to attach these Grave Stones to the related individual's.
Thanks, Larry

There are 2 ways to do it:

1. Go to the person in your family tree, click "Edit" > "Add/Edit media file" > "Add family picture & paper"

2. Go to the media manager at https://en.geneanet.org/media/manager/deposits, upload the picture of grave then tag the person

Thanks for the help on this. However I still get the camera and " 1 file available " when I pull up the persons page that I have added a Grave Marker Picture on. The URL on this is "gw.geneanet.org/ldelplanche_w?n=vandecoevering&oc=o&p=peter&type=fiche" . I would prefer that not to appear in that part of the page. Also is there a way to reduce the size of a picture once it has been placed in the file "Family Tree---Your Archives & Pictures---Family Papers & Pictures"? I downloaded a picture to that file and now it uploads from that file double the size that I want to attach to the profile page.
Thanks, Larry

If you don't want the picture to appear on the page of the person in your family tree, you must set it to private. Click the picture, click "Information" then "Edit". Visitors will not see the picture but you will see it. If you don't want to see the picture, you must unattach it from the person in your family tree.

You can't change the size of the thumbnails in the family tree pages.
