Ordering of database search results

How are results ordered for "relevance" search results of the database? The top hit in a list I get for one ancestor is the most inaccurate in the list.

Sourced information show up first in the search result. The relevance does not depend on your own data (names, places...)

Thank you for your response. I see that the "hit" I referred to in my question does show "sources." The sources shown are second hand and used incorrectly, but I can see where your system can not determine the validity of sources.
