i have been trying to start my family tree but keep getting the "Incorrect request" at the top, i will say that like others this website is very clunky and non-responsive a lot of the time, i as a non paying member can not find out to reach anyone other than this forum, i will say that the search option is awesome, i found people that i was not able to on other sites like find a grave or ancestry.com, so i would love to stay but not if i can't create and update a family tree

If geneanet wants to keep you, they should refer you to the French language side, where you will find more to read about starting a tree.

It's a problem that happens sometimes at the creation of a tree. The solution is simple: delete your tree and start again. ;)

I have only been with Geneanet for about 2 weeks, started to make a family tree, and yesterday Sunday I decided to get the 3 months premimum so i signed up and gave my card details, feeling excited went on to my computer, I have already got some information from another site, but what ever I searched for the same results come up. "no results found" I sat from 6pm Sunday until 2.30 am Monday morning. I have worked with computers since 1975, so I know quite well how they work. I have deleted my family tree what I started from the Geneanet site. So now all I want is for my $18.52 aussie dollars to be put into my account. I have my receipt in front of me.
What did I pay the money for? As far as I am concerned NOTHING. All I am getting from my emails to you, is I have a ticket number.
Please put my money back into my account.

I understand that I wont get my subscription back which expires in January, please could you delete me from your website. If you cannot do that please dont send my to the page where I might find an answer, just explain how I can do that myself.

No Gemamet. you have answered nothing, just put on the forum, that I am not entitled to a refund after paying my subscription. You people are discusting. Be up front and put your answer on the forum so that prospective customers can see. Sussams

In accordance with article L.121-21-8 1 and 13 of the French Consumer Code , the right of cancellation may not be exercised for contracts to supply services fully executed before the end of the cancellation period where the contracts to supply containing digital content on a non-material medium and where performance has begun after prior express consent from the consumer and the express waiver of his right of cancellation. The User formally acknowledges and accepts that, in all cases where he expressly accepts the execution of the Service or uses the Service, and expressly waives his right of cancellation before expiry of the cancellation period, he will not legitimately be able to invoke this right."

We suggest that you import your family tree to Geneanet via a GEDCOM file, then automatically compare it to the Geneanet database at https://en.geneanet.org/compare/

Your Premium subscription will not be automatically renewed.

Your Premium subscription will expire on January 13, 2020, and you will have nothing to pay after this date.
Just ignore the reminders you will receive.
