Dear all,

I have a few photos to share, originals, of Lodewijk Carel Jacob Christiaan Frans van Nispen, his 2nd wife Eulalie Louise Bender and two photos of their daughter, Brunhilde Aurelia Therese Theodore van Nispen . I also have a photo of Brunhilde's eldest son, Lodewijk Edwin Johan Frederik Mollerus but not of her son Rudolf.

Brunhilde ATT van Nispen was the grandmother of my late grandmother, Johanna Susanna Mollerus and her late twin sister who had the same names as their grandmother, Brunhilde.. My late grandmother's father was Rudolf Mollerus. The photo I have of Lodewyk CJCF mentioned above is he much younger than the one on the Van Nispen web page. But you can see the resemblance and the same way of posing clearly.

I doubt it that these photos will be online, as they are originals that was in the possession of my grandmother, Johanna Wartington (nee Mollerus). She died in 1988. Her sister, Aunt Hilda, also died.

If anyone is interested please let me know where it can be shared.

A friend and I are both working on my family tree and also need photos of other people in the tree.

Kind regards,

Laura

There is a website called Ancient Faces. You may wish to share your photos there. Check it out.

you don't have much to lose,

BUT

Review of Ancient Faces Genealogy Website

If you have ever been tempted to try out the genealogy website AncientFaces.com, this article may save you many hours of time and effort uploading your data. Ancient Faces, launched in the year 2000, advertises their website as a free collaborative website for sharing photographs and looking for photos of your ancestors.

Ancient Faces Sales Pitch
According to their website, you can “discover your family history and genealogy by browsing through millions of historical records of people and surnames.” By uploading your historical photos, you are participating in a community of people who believe in sharing their family history.

Once you complete the easy account sign-up process that simply asks for a userid and password, you can add photographs, build profiles and even comment on submissions. While this sounds enticing, you need to consider what you expect this website to do for you.

If you just want to upload and share your favorite photographs with other genealogy enthusiasts, you certainly can.

But in reality, to reach a much broader audience, you would be better off uploading your data to one of the mega genealogy sites like Ancestry.com or the free FamilySearch.org

Oh, I was just talking about sharing photographs, not actual research. Nevertheless, I have found historical clues and vital information in the most unlikely website databases. One being Ancient Faces. Best of luck to everyone.

what they are saying is in Ancient Faces, you may not have much of an audience.

Not having much of an audience is no reason to exclude a website. If just one person benefits from an upload, (as I have,) it is worth the time and effort to upload your photos. Sharing information, be it photographs or records, is a selfless act. You cannot expect to gain anything from it for yourself except the satisfaction of knowing that you made them available. As the saying goes, "sharing is caring."
