My name is Louis Raul Fabre, I live in Dallas Texas, I am building my family tree and need to find the history of the Fabre Abbadie Family. My grandfather was Roberto Fabre Abbadie and my great grandfather was Jean Pierre Fabre. I need to find anything related to Joseph Antoine Fabre and Francisca Gilly or their ascendants or descendants, including birthday, marriage, death certificates or anything else. I am now sure about their birthday dates but there are between 1780 and 1790, and their marriages about 21- and 35-years later. They are from Lauzet-Ubaye in the village of Le Lauzet-Ubaye is a small village located south east of France. The town of Le Lauzet-Ubaye is in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, part of the district of Barcelonnette.
I would greatly appreciate your help and I am willing to pay for your kind services. It would be of enormous help for me. You can email me at raul.fabre@live.com at any time.

Many Thanks!

I advise you to post on the french language forum - post in English & in French

there is a forum just for Alpes de Haute Provence (04)

https://en.geneanet.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=60005

and please, remove the << I am willing to pay for your kind services >>

people are volunteers and are ready to help you for free.

Plus, Geneanet may not like a comment that would attract professional genealogists.

When searching in a new region, I recommend checking Geneawiki for available resources:

good evening
only for information and history:
several remote valleys in the Alps or in the Pyrenees could not feed their citizens in the middle of XIXth century.
in the valley of Le Lauzet, near the small town of Barcelonnette, several people did emigrate to Mexico. They came back later to build beautiful estates in their native valley. They were called either "les méxicains" (the mexicans) or "Les barcelonettes".
