Finding my lost mother

Hi,
I was abandoned at birth by my French mother, and thanks to a change of law in Quebec (where she migrated before 1959), I have been told her name recently by social services. I am trying to locate my relatives in France. Where do I start? I only have her maiden's name (which she stopped using after she married, probably in the 60s, the number of siblings (and who was dead already in 1959, when I was born), her rank among her siblings, the fact that her mohter was dead already in 1959 and her father was still alive. I have no birthplace, no name of relatives either. She died in 1992, and lived very probably in Montreal. She was 21 years old in December 1959. Newspaper obituaries to be consulted online in Montreal are no earlier than 2002. Any help is useful to my search.

I have access to some newspaper databases that include Montreal, that go back earlier than 2002. If you would want to contact me at my email address and provide your mother's maiden name, I might be able to help you
