Why does Geneanet not sell DNA test kits?

Geneanet is a French company submitted to the French law. The French law does not authorize the sale of DNA test kits for genealogical purpose, on penalty of a fine of 3,750 Euros. According to a report of the French Senate, more than one million French people have already taken a DNA test with a non-French provider without any action being taken, to our knowledge. The French law may change in the near future and we will keep you informed.
