The World War I Museum in Kansas City is seeking the public’s help for any information on the four soldiers in portraits that were donated earlier in the year. “By some chance, someone might say this person looks familiar,” said Jonathan Casey, who has started digging for information.
It might be a long shot, but its one archivist Casey is willing to take. The museum received a donation of four oval portraits of African-American soldiers during World War I. Little other information is known.
