Two men have been arrested for stealing irreplaceable Second World War documents, concerning the Nazi occupation of Denmark, from the state archives over a period of several years.
The theft was discovered at the beginning of October and the two were arrested late Wednesday. “We have investigated the theft for about a month, and gained information and identified the two persons,” deputy police commissioner Ove Bundgaard Larsen told Danish television.
