Ford was born July 30, 1863, on a farm in Greenfield Township (near Detroit, Michigan).

His father, William Ford (1826–1905), was born in County Cork, Ireland, of a family originally from western England, who were among migrants to Ireland as the English created plantations. His mother, Mary Litogot Ford (1839–1876), was born in Michigan; she was the youngest child of Belgian immigrants; her parents died when Mary was a child and she was adopted by neighbors, the O’Herns. Henry Ford’s siblings include Margaret Ford (1867–1938); Jane Ford (c. 1868–1945); William Ford (1871–1917) and Robert Ford (1873–1934).

Am trying to find out how related to Henry great grandmother was Mary Emma Ford (Chedester)

My great grandmother was Margaret ( Mary) ( Ford) Tyson. She lived in Pennsylvania. Family story is pretty intense…but Chase Tyson her husband was not my bio greatgrandfather. She was married before to a Robert Kelley. And had two children with him .Elisabeth and George. George is my grandfather. My mother and aunt “Betty” tell me Robert was poisoned by a girlfriend( yes he was married and yes he was cheating)
I only got to meet my great? Aunt “betty” ( my grandfather’s sister) she told me her mom never “work” but they always had lots of food and her and George got new cars ( model T’s) on their birthday till they married. Nobody ever told them where the money or cars came from. My aunt hired a lawyer (as story goes) and he uncovered enough to show a cover’m tryin to find out if this was a wonderful tale or if there is some truth to it.
Any information any one has I’d be happy to hear.Thank you.
