The photos of the Nazi leader at the Nuremburg Rally of 1937 were found alongside documents and letters in the family loft of George Henry LaneFox Pitt-Rivers, an internee from the Second World War.
Churchill College postgraduate Bradley Hart made the discovery when he contacted Mr Pitt-Rivers’s son Anthony and found more than 50 boxes of archive material in the family loft. Mr Pitt-Rivers was a vocal supporter of fascism and national socialism. In 1937 he attended the Nuremburg Rally, the annual Nazi propaganda march, after an official invitation from the Nazi Government, where he met Hitler.
