Hi all,

I'm having a lot of trouble finding my grandparents on my mothers side...

I'm 30 years old and live in Australia but my nationality is French. both my parents are French.
I have loads of information on my fathers side.
my mother was about 5 years old when her mother died, she was about 30 years old when this happened..

my mothers name : Nathalie Jodet (maiden name Harry)

her name was RENEE FRANCE FERNANDE DULONG. (born : apparently : FRANCE)
her fathers name was DANIEL CHARLES ? HARRY

I have a load of grandparents names but nothing comes up.

would love to find out what happened to them as I was never able to met them.
more so to get clarity for my mother :-[

if anyone could help, this would be amazing.  :D

Good morning
Information you give are too vague
have you some official documents to start with ?
for instance the wedding certificate of your parents ?
with this documents, one could read who were their parents
regards

I'll try to help you, but mainly after August 25th (I go walking in the Alps).
In the meantime, as you have to start from good bases, you may ask for the COMPLETE birth certificate of your grandparents (available only to descendants. If I ask it myself, I would have only a simplified copy with no parents’ names for instance) ; either from
* Ivry sur Seine : https://www.ivry94.fr/1655/demande-dacte-de-naissance.htm for your mother’s father or
* Notre-Dame-d'Estrées-Corbon; Téléphone : +(33) 2 31 32 88 19; Fax : +(33) 2 31 63 89 46; E-mail : [email protected] ; No web site, for your mother’s mother.
Please know that it is difficult in France to search for descendants or living cousins because of privacy protection. If someone decides to disappear for personal reason, his life protection forbids anybody to have access to his personal data and to trace him. Only notaries for heritage search may ask for living persons.
It is easier to search for ancestry when the privacy delay is over.
