The search for my great grandfather Isaac Rene Paul Adolphe Antoine Baligand de la Feuilliez is at a standstill.

What I am trying to find out is where he was (living) from 1857 until he immigrated to Canada and married Marie Biron in 1880-1881.
He was born on 25th of September 1837 in La Guillotiere, Lyon, Rhone Alps  France.
His Father was Paul Adolphe Baligand de la Feuilliez, his mother was Cecile Vaudaine.

I have a lot of information about his mother, sisters, and half sisters, but nothing of him in the 30( plus or minus) years he lived in France.
His father died before he was born, so I am assuming he lived with his mother and sisters (and half sisters) until he reached an age when he went off on his own.
As far as I know he did NOT marry while he was living in France. That leads me to believe he could have had a military career(not sure, that's another road block).

If you need any more information from me, just ask and I will see if I can help.
Paula (de la Feuilliez) Ryan
