Feel free to use this forum to post questions and engage in discussions related to GeneaNet specifically and genealogy in general:

- GeneaNet Help & Support: Ask for help on any topic related to the GeneaNet website. Report a bug. Make a suggestion.
- Family History Searches: If you need help with your family history research then post your question here.
- Surnames: Research and connect with other users around specific surnames.
- Regional: Regional genealogy and local history research.

You can change your forum settings by clicking ‘Preferences’ at the top left of the forums pages.

We frequent the forums everyday to answer your questions.

2. Dicsussion Topics

Join a Discussion Topic to share and discuss on genetic genealogy, digital photography, genealogy software, etc..

Select a Discussion Topic then click ‘Subscribe’ to join the discussion.

The Discussion Topics are linked to the GeneaNet Forums or the GeneaWiki.

You can add some Favorite Discussion Topics to your GeneaNet home page to easily follow the latest posts.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are no forum for my surname.

You can ask for the creation of a new Surname Forum by clicking the link at the bottom of the list. The requested surname must be cited at least 5 times in our forums.

Are the forums moderated?

The messages are automatically posted but we frequent the forums everyday to answer your questions and to delete inappropriate messages.

I want to delete my message.

You can delete your message if no one have answered it. Please contact us to delete a full thread.
